
Fundraisers of Color Virtual Support Group

The Fundraisers of Color Virtual Support Group is a peer-to-peer professionally facilitated group that meets once a month and brings fundraisers of diverse backgrounds together to connect on all things fundraising from a professional development as well as personal viewpoint. This group is set in a confidential safe space where fundraisers of color can connect on their pain points, experiences, successes, and learn new ways of approaching the work, building a career, and separting their value from the funds they raise. This group follows a set curriculum; however, it remains agile in that as pain points arise we turn to address and support one another. Guest speakers are occasionally invited to host conversations on different topics that are relevant to the field and growth of knowledge. Fundraisers of color from various levels of experience are encouraged to apply and join.
group meeting details
The group consists of no more than 12 participants at a time and no more than one participant from an organization is able to join the group to ensure confidentiality and a safe space to share. Once the group is full a wait list will be created and once that list has at least three participants a separate group will be formed. If a spot becomes available in a group and we call up the next person on the waitlist, you will have two weeks to respond before we move down the list.
The group currently meets the 4th Thursday of the month as follows:
Pacific Standard Time (PST): 1-2:30pm
Mountain Standard Time (MST) 2-3:30pm
Central Standard Time (CST): 3-4:30pm
Eastern Standard Time (EST): 4-5:30pm
cost to participate
It’s really important to us that we keep the cost to participate low so that organizations from grassroots to large can afford to invest in their fundraisers. The group runs from January to December each year and you are required to indicate your desire to continue membership from year to year. The cost to participate in the group is $300 annually*.
*If you initially join between July-December the cost is pro-rated to $150.
100% of participants have been sponsored by the nonprofit organization they work for via professional development. Please indicate below if you need a letter of engagement to begin the conversation with your supervisor or leadership.
